Update: Winter 2026
OWNERSHIP (writer, co-producer) has had a fulfilling festival season. (2025/26). So far, it has earned multiple awards at festivals across the U.S. and internationally, including Best Short Narrative – Runner UP (Denton Black Film Festival) and Best Drama Short Film (Santa Barbara Indie Film Festival). It has also earned “Official Selections” at LA’s prestigious Pan African Film Festival, Miami Black Film Festival, Detroit Black Film Festival, Baltimore International Film Festival, Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase, and the Vancouver International Black Film Festival, to name a few.
DO SOMETHING, of which I directed and co-wrote/co-produced, received distribution! It is streaming now on Tubi.com. My partner, Les Wieder, and I are very proud. “Do Something” is a story about protest, privilege, and power. The pandemic, but more importantly, the tumultuous unrest we experienced in 2020 was our inspiration.
My husband and I launched a YouTube series, Her Words His Wine which chronicles us finding yummy food and drink in Arizona. For our 4th of July episode, we created a mini-short film, The Last of the Summer Whine.
For the March 2023 Harlem’s Last Dance book launch, I produced an interview series, “On Writing” and a panel series “The Hot Ones: How I Did It.”
